Hi Paul,
I agree with Seb, please share more pics. This is looking really cool. It reminds me of a series of pics from the Verlinden Warmachines book.

I'm still going to build similar model. Yours looks very good, Paul!

Nice work! I would too like to see more pics of your Humvee... particulary the back-side. Hey, wasn't the similar "moto-backpack" in one of Talal Chouman's models? I could be wrong though.

Hi Paul,
It looks verry nice, except one thing. To me the hummer could use some stuff in and on it. But it does loo good.

I like the bike on the back, from what I can see anyways :-) What did you use for the ground work?

The bike was actually used by some Scout units in an exercise in Europe(?).

Me three! I built mine back in 1992, based on the same photo and took the concept a little further by modeling a HHV idea. I entered it in the very first Hypotheticals Category at the 1994 IPMS/USA National Convention in Omaha - it won the category. Back then, I was heavy into HMMWV's. The two pics below are all I have left of the model - it has long since been destroyed - casualty of moving...
It is always nice to see 'em - share some more pics!

When I went to the Cav course here at Knox in 1991, the hardtop HMMWVs had the bike racks installed. This was when we were testing the 10 HMMWV scout platoon for the mech/armor units to replace the six Bradley scout platoon.

Very nice indeed! As been said many times, the bike at the back is a nice change from the usual humvee kits.

Guntruck is that a mortar in the rear cargo area of the humvee?
Yeah - 4.2 inch. What I had modeled was a hypothetical HMMWV Mortar Carrier based on the planned HHV specifications at that time. Using the ESCI/ERTL model kit, I rebuilt many of the suspension components into what was thought to be the upcoming standard for the HHV. I chopped the "turtleback" and positioned the hatch opening to the rear. Scratchbuilt the Weapons Ring and details and fleshed out the interior to match a M1026 with the Mortar Mount and shockplate to spread out the recoil into the frame. The doors were all opened, glass positionable and the Mortar's Ready Rack could be pulled out of the left rear door.
At that time, I was casting the entire HMMWV body pan in Alumilite casting plastic sucessfully - I modeled around 20 HMMWV's and didn't want to keep on making the same corrections over and over again. I thought I was avoiding burnout - but got burned out after 20 anyway and haven't worked on a HMMWV model up until last year.
To round out the concept, I modeled the 'Cycle Rack and put a Dragon bike on it according to the photos, a Mk.19 Grenade Launcher and a simple Grill Guard mounted on the Winch Housing. Hypothetically speaking, it was an exercise to put as much on the HMMWV chassis as I could reason - and have a whole lot of fun doing it. I used all the current design ideas and correct equipment and features - like I think the best hypothetical models do. They make the observer go "hmmmm"...
Even with all those HMMWV's that I modeled including this wild one - I never even dreamed there would be gun truck-style HMMWV's running the roads in Iraq. Inspiration all anew...
