I was in my LHS today and was told that Dragon have stopped making the 3-in-1 Late Tiger kit and that once stocks had gone, there would be no more Tiger Lates for sometime, can anyone confirm or disprove this?

Gah, stop with the rumors, my wallet can't take it anymore.
:-)
Seriously though, I think this is just a rumor. The DML Tigers 3-in-1 are a cash cows for Dragon, and even though the rumors might be true, there is enough of them produced to date that you should be able to pick them up without much trouble.

Kind regards.

Martin, if it is a rumour then it is a very convincing one, i do not think the guy who ownes the shop would ahve lied to me, i have known him for a number of years. He said it is an apparent marketing move by Dragon, not sure i agree with this, but they have done this in the past with other kits, same as Tamiya have, although never with a kit that has the sales potential of the Tiger.

Well Dragon do have a tendancy to make batches and then let us get all worried about not being able to find a kit (M4A1) (jagdpanverIV)and then putting out another run just after you paid three times the price for the kit on E-bay...but they all usually show up sooner or later....I,m sure that there are many Tigers still around as I'm sure this is and will be one of their biggest sellers...but I know that if I want a Dragon kit ...I get it right away before they disappear.

The Tiger is no different from every other model. There'll be production runs. They will have already done so many runs, and they won't do another one until sufficient demand for it means it will be profitable. It's the same with every other model by every manufacturer?
