Any of you camouflage experts have an opinion on this question?
On page 50 in Jim Mesko's book "Armor in Korea" he shows a photo of an M4A3 76 (W) VVSS Sherman tank dozer with the M1 blade. He lists the camouflage scheme as "Tan over Olive Drab".
In Simon Dunstan's book "Armour of the Korean War 1950-53" he illustrates this same vehicle in color as one of the tiger-faced "scare the superstitious Chinese" pieces of armor used during the UN counteroffensive of March and April 1951. He illustrates this vehicle as having yellow stripes over Olive Drab, and a red tiger mouth with white teeth on the gun mantlet.
Any opinion on this?
