Hey guys.
I want to build this tank.
And the base will be this two tanks ( Many thanks to Peter aka ''stormbringer'' for the two tank he send to me )
The kit will be in 1/72 and I will scratch those ''wings'' on the turret with evergreen plastic sheets.
I want to ask to you, how can I bend the evergreen plastic sheets??
Also I want to Thank Barv for his help he will give.
Thanks for your time

What is that? Is it from a movie or a game?

Yes this tank is from Red Alert 2 the game.
I didn't find this pic on the internet but made it by myself. I had to install the game and this pic will be on your installing screen. So I made a screen shot from it and saved it.
But because I don't play the game anymore I have to unstall the game. I did this only for this shot of the tank.

Hi Hilbert,
strange looking Chally ! Bending plastic sheet is not that a problem if you stick to thin ones. The bets you can do is create a skeleton on which you'll glue the skin made of thin styrene sheet.
It should do the trick.
Hope to see your project soon in pictures.

If you have a form, for example made of wood, in the correct curve you could try clamping the plastic to the form and then use a hairdryer to heat it up.
Another option would be to heat the plastic in hot water and then clamp to the form.
Just thoughts..

Cool looking Challenger. As already stated, I think the easiest way to duplicate the bends is to secure your plastic to a form, ie.. wood dowel, and then dunk it in hot water for a few seconds then remove and let cool. Have done this on a few different projects and it works like a charm. Thanks for sharing your idea for your build. "Q"

Hey Hilbert,
That's the Allied Mirage tank right? I used to play RA2 a lot and this was one of my favorites.....stealth tank, changed into a tree when standing still, powerfull laser cannon which was especially effective against infantry.
I think you need to shorten the Challenger hull. The Challenger has got 6 wheels, the Mirage tank 5.
The shields can indeed be made by evergreen. Thin sheets can be bend with your hands

I managed that too, but I think it will be a combination of two tanks, the challenger and this sci-fi tank.
I have no idea how to shorten the tank, because the tank will be outscaled I think it difficult to look right.
Thanks for the evergreen tips.
Ow, It just came up in my mind, maby I can adjust the wheels, and not the hull.. I will think about that, but I haven't the kits yet so I will have to wait.

Hilbert has contacted me and we will use the posts here and what skills we can muster between us on-line ..............as it it 1/76 .....I may be at a disadvantage with small scale :-) ---not been there for a long time
As I am "play-station " challenged---this beast is alien to me...not never seen the beast or tef..will try to extrapolate the sizes so that Hilbert can have at least a rough drawing to work from ..................when I can get some sort of size for --width --wheel dia--length of kithull etc
Please chip in with thoughts and suggestions-------on second look may be easier than the short first view
aye

Actually, Red Alert iss a computer game, and one of my all time favorites!
Hilbert, try spacing out the wheel arms, and get rid of one of the wheel arms.

Thanks for the comments.
I will space uot the wheels. But first I have to look at the kit.
Steve, the kit itself is 15.5 cm. I don't have any idea what the the size will be in your system.
