I wanted to share some pics of my current build. It is Tamiyas Pz IV H with soldering iron zimm and a few scratch built PE and styrene parts. I am hoping to get your opinions on the muzzle and mg covers.

The MG and Barrel covers look fine, but I'm not a great fan of pyrographed zimmerit. You are very brave for trying it, but I find it a bit to irregular. Especialy on the rear plate, I would cover up the less well done spots on the right with camouflage or spare gear.
I like the mudguards at the front, what did you use for those? That is something I will be replacing on my next Pzr IV project, as they look much better than plastic ones. Will you be doing the skirts in the same material?
Don't forget to put some filler in those gaps (Glacis plate and turrret)

Good start so far, looking forward to your progress.

Cheers

Thanks Henk,

Yeah the rear was the first place I zimmed and it turned out awful. Luckily for me, I was planning on camoing this one w/ foliage anyway (one reason I decided to try doing zim this way).

The front fender is just piece of PE I had left over from the tiger I built.

Cheers
