Wow... these are some nice pieces... all of them.
I finished a two figurette vignette but am waiting to get some kind of a digital image of it (need to get a decent dig camera for it and then Its On!!!). Hope to have images of it sometime next week.

This is my entry..a small vignette call "In The Wire", This is a snap shot of the NVA charging the SF camp, something like the movie siege of the firebase Gloria, A wave of the NVA storming toward the trenches…
The lone Green Beret is about to be overrun… he is down to the last clip on the side arm.. he is fighting for his life…
the Figures are DML, and the sand bags from Tamiya, which is not very good..

G'day guys
All such fantastic pieces, extremely glad to see that this campaign has been able to produce such great work.
I feel i must apologize to all of you though, my leadership as of late has been somewhat non-existant, very very busy these days, and i barely get time to check the site let alone build myself.
But regardless of wether im here or not, the campaign is, so keep the work coming, it truly is fantastic.
Cheers

Here is my Second entry for this campaign. An F-4J Phantom II with the markings of VF-96, the Fighting Falcons. This is the aircraft that Randy Cunningham and Willie Driscoll flew when they made Ace. It is the Hasegawa F-4J with PE cockpit instruments and Aeromaster Decals.

Ok, this weekend I got of my ... and started working.
I dropped my Tunnel Rat idea and started on a little vignette using Dragon 3305 kit.
The general idea:
Detailing and painting:
Well, I think I end this one (just) in time

I started with 1/35 LRRPs, it went straight into the mess box...a total failure. So i grad a UH-1C set from Academy. Its suppose to be a UH-1C but i have problems with the fittings and the decals are not of a good quality.

OK, I'm finally done!!!
These are pic's made right after I finished. Don't know if I'm able this week to take some bether one's.
It's an US marine taking his buddy into safety. Figures came from the DML 3305 kit. Somehow I always heard "Run Forrest, run.. !!!" in the back of my head while I was working on it. :-) :-)
The leaves are from little palm trees you get on some tropical ice sorbets, painted in the right colours. Good excuse to go for icecream!

I'm really trying to make the deadline! I got sick and sidetracked a bit, but am forging ahead now. I wanted to model a special entry for this Campaign, and had to delay a little bit waiting for some additional information to come in from a Vietnam Veteran...

All such brilliant entries, i'm very pleased that this Campaign has inspired so many great Nam themed pieces.
Just a reminder to anyone who hasn't, you must upload your entry photos, at least 2, into the campaigns gallery before completion date.
Cheers

G'day guys
It's time for another update, how are we all progressing along?
Since our last check in ive seen some good additions come along, some silently added to the gallery, others in posts, just a reminder to those of you with completed work who are yet to add an image of it to the Campaigns gallery, do so! :-)
I myself have a project currently underway, not worth posting pics as it's early days yet.
Anyway guys, report in, progress pics would be great!
Cheers
Done...
Also uploaded a few more in the gallery. I'll submit some of the interior tomorrow. I hand painted the Sheperd paine style graffiti on it because I'll never forget that picture I saw when I was kid.
