I stumbled across this kit in greatmodels.com. Do any of you guys know about this kit? Accuracy and details? Maybe an alternative to Tamiya kind? The kit is called, 1/35 MO9006 M2A2 Infantry Fighting Vehicle, w/ TOW Launchers by Modelcraft Canada.

Stay far away!!!

It is a poor copy of the Tamiya M2A2. It is the same as the Lee kit. For some reason, all the Chinese model companies (Trumpeter, Lee, MiniCraft, Hobby Craft, etc.) seem to rebox each others stuff. It is not worth the price, however cheap it is. The molding is soft, some parts are short shots, detail is just lacking. I wouldn't bother with it. Spend the few extra bucks on a Tamiya one. They are much better.

P2G,
All I have to say is NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It's a re-boxed of Tamiya's kit, but with softer details. If I remeber correctly, the hull is already made for a remote control kit. But all in all, no good.

Hi all Bradley fans !

Where are you all with your projects ? I've put mine apart for a while as I was on a tweak list for the Tamiya Leclerc. It'll be soon available but took lot of time to get a useful and useable document.

I'd start painting this week-end.
BTW, I didn't even know such a brand existed ! It isn't carried in France to my knowledge but it appears I don't miss it ! :-)

As Gino said, stay away from those kits, even if "Canada" is stated on the brand.....I buyed a Humvee a while ago and it´s one of the worst waste of money I ever made.

But not all the Trumpeter kits are that bad, some are pretty nice (I´m refering the ones released from 2000, previously, bad things)

Get the Tamiya, safer that way...

Cheers

Didn't mean to imply that all Trumpeter kits are bad. Most of their newer ones are great. They and Dragon have some of the best new releases out there. Thier older kits, which they seem to share with the other Chinese companies I mentioned, are mostly really bad copies of Tamiya kits though.

No idea where the Hobby Craft/MiniCraft HMMWVs come from. They are horrible though. Even worse than the old Esci HMMWVs. Some of the Hobby Craft stuff isn't bad though. Thier M1A1s are reboxed Trumpeter models and are just as good as the originals.

Best bet is to do what P2G did, ask about them here first. Someone will know the story on the kit.

Olivier,
Just about done with mine. All I have left are tracks and extra gear. Should have an update soon.

HobbyCrap/MiniCrap HMMWVs are originally CC Lee kits. They used Italeri boxart on their HMMWV products.

LTC Rob,
Yeah, but who did C.C. Lee (Trumpter / Mini Craft / Hobby Craft, whatever they are going by now) copy them from and where did they get those abominations they call tires. They look more like sanded down donuts.

By the way, congrats on the promotion, Sir! Guess I missed it. When did that happen?

P2G,
If you are looking for a standard, non-ODS, M2A2, model, Red4 has a post with one for sale for cheap in the Buy, Sell, Trade Forum.

Good luck.
