I've never thought of using press and seal in that manner but, I've noticed that sometimes it doesn't stick very well to Tupperware bowls so I don't know if it would adhere well to a plastic model's surface or a matt painted surface. But then again nothing ventured nothing gained. If I get a chance, I'll try it. I usually use a combination of liquid masking film and parafilm but the idea of using press and seal does seem intriguing.

I'd be sure to test it first.. you never know what kind of reaction you get between plastic and paint... esp the hotter ones...

I've heard that press 'n seal causes problems with airplane canopies/clear parts as it leaves a residue when its removed. Not sure about other applications though.
