How common was the practice of fitting additional MG's to the turret of the M48's in Vietnam?
I've seen 2 or 3 photos of tracks with an M2/M60 mount on the rear bustle rack, an M113 mount welded in front of the loader's hatch also with an M2, and one with an M60 with an ACAV/type shield mounted in front of the loader's hatch.
I know the M2 mounted on top of the Commander's cupola was fairly commen, but what about these additional weapons?
TIA
Dave
