Greetings all,

As I had mentioned in the "Up the IRONS" topic in the Junk Drawer, I caught an episode of "Greatest Ever...Tanks" on Discovery Canada and who do they have tooling around in a T-34/85? Bruce Dickinson, singer for Iron Maiden!!
[:::]

Just check out these shots:

Bruce Dickinson explaining the need for a simple Tank that any Russian peasant can operate.

In his own Iron Maiden.

That's muddy watet coming up the glacis.

Check out his arms and legs.

Dickie had too much fun! Ah, now this is a Rock Star I envy!

Check out some weathering details!

Hope all you Fans of "Eddie and the boys" (and other treadheads) enjoy this series. Sorry for the quality as they are vidcaps afterall.

Cheers.
Up the IRONS!!!

I had ot laugh when i saw this program, Bruce is better known for his love of aircraft than tanks, and to see him described as a MAJOR tank fan had me rolling around.

I can jsut imagine him now turning up for one of the charter flights he pilots, parking the T-34 next to a DC-3 and chaging into his flying overalls......now that would be a sight to see

Nemanja, I caught the same program when it screened over here, great series.

It was interesting when they had the Panther on also with the old German veteran telling of some of his experiences in a Panther during the war and then seeing him in the turret again after 60 years commanding his driver "Panzer Marche"

Well said STAVKA43 "Run to the hills!"

Ok, Rockstar, Writer, Literature historian(of some sort), Amateur pilot, profeccional airliner pilot, Fencer, Volunteer Royal Rialways watcher, TANK LOVER :-) :-) :-) (do we have to type it as Tankophilic??) and TV presenter. Are we sure he doesn't have any clones? I almost got used to see him on Discovery.
