Hi Guys

I feel like I am continually asking questions of you all. I need some civilian figures for a scene I going to work on. English village with German paratroopers (touch of The Eagle Has Landed). I am having real difficulty in finding the correct scale. I am working in 1:35 scale. I can find railway figures but am not sure how the gauges relate. Can anyone help. I promise I will try and keep the questions down a bit.
Thanks

Mike

Don't feel bad at all about asking questions. That's what I did when I started - that's what we're here for.

Verlinden has a few sets of civilians - www.greatmodels.com carries verlinden products.

VLS has some too
www.modelmecca.com carries those.

Go to The Red Lancer and do a search titled "Civilian" and you'll get a good list of availabel civilians.

Hey Mike:

Is that billybunts for a base hit or is it a sacrifice?
Sorry, that isn't really funny. And I don't think they play
baseball in the UK. Also, you've only posted 5 threads
so that couldn't be too many question, huh? :-)

I suggest Preiser figures. They make a civilian set in
1:35th called "Civilians waving at the roadside". The
set has a man w/ hands in pockets, three women
waving hand made flags, and a small boy
waving his hand.

I converted the old woman in skarf to another younger woman with a hornet head and both hands down.
The order number for that set is Art.Nr. 64002.
You won't find a lot of civilian figures available,
but there are some out there. Good luck!

Preiser has a large line of 1/32 civilian figures that would work as well.

Preiser 1/32 figures.

Here is the Civilians Waving at the Roadside set. I used them in my Victory in Europe Campaign. NOTE: In the dio there is an extra mother holding a child that is not part of the Preiser set

Ola Mike

You might try to find teh MK35 figures. They have an Extensive range of Civilian figures.
Check them out at MK35

I also have the preiser set. It is a nicew set.... not too brilliant in detail but fairly decent. Also Resination and legend have some civilian figures that might be useable for you.

Cheers for the help guys.

For info Billy Bunts is a Royal Naval kindly term for Signalmen. Because they are always using bunting to make and single with their flags.

As I say if you want to know something ask a singleman. But if its to do with modelling don't ask this one just yet :-)

Thanks

Mike
