I think Sabot summed up the "What is Modern?" question best...with one twist. I think the age of the "observer" is a significant part of what one considers modern vs. old! An M60A3 would be OLD to my 14 year old son- but to me (sneaking up on 50 yrs.) Its' pretty modern!
As to what Modern Kits/Figures I'd like to see...
More modern figures, from all the worlds conflicts, especially modern civilians since so many wars are "low intensity" (what a misnomer)
I wish there were some good, detailed, 1/35th kits of some of the CIVILIAN vehicles that show up so often in the current conflicts... SUVs, pickups; cars, etc. And NOT specifically militarized versions of them (ala the Technicals is Somalia), but Factory Fresh versions. That would allow us, the builders to do with them as we wish.
