I'm finally going to try my hand at building some yet undecided German tank. What would be the correct color for any mid to late war tank? I'll probably use something from Testor's or Tamiya aerosol paints. Also, was everything done in some type of camo or were some only painted one color? Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

for later war tanks you want "Dunkelgelb" which Tamiya do, handily, in a spraycan called "Dark Yellow".
Some were left dunkelgelb all over, some had soft or hard edge camo pattern in green and red brown.
Your best bet is to still to dunkelgelb vehicles until you have an airbrush. I did, and I don't regret it !!
hope this helps a little...

Like Jon said, the Dark Yellow is a good choice should the vehicle be 1943 or later. Whatever vehicle you do, take a few minutes to do some research to find out what was typical for that time period. This way you dont end up with the wrong paint on an otherwise really nice model
