Hey all,
Well it was very strange to be away from this site for so many days. Over a week! The trip was a tad more grueling than I had thought so I had little time or energy to boot up the laptop when we were hotel'ing it across country. I didn't have high-speed access at any of those stays anyways so it would have been next to impossible to read my mail. Speaking of mail if anyone has written lately please give me a few days from now to respond. I am sure there is a lot waiting for me.

We are settling into our new home in Clovis, CA. It's a nice house with a pretty fenced backyard. Lots of trees that are even dropping their leaves. I thought I had left that behind in Virginia. The fifth bedroom which has a railing that overlooks the living room is my new office space. I will pretty much have it all to myself which will be a BIG change.

Well I am also suffering from a head-cold these past two days so I will cut this short. Waiting for the pills I just took to kick in. I did get to see the new James Bond movie the other nite. 16.50 for just me to go to the movies. Welcome to California! hehe

Glad to be back.

Halle Berry & Agent Frost....first James Bond movie I saw in a theater in over 10 years, and one of the best. Well worth the money.

Welcome back Jim! I hope you are not too upset with the shambles we left this site in without you around

$16.50 to go to one movie, though? Wow! And that's American. I can go to a movie here for $7 CDN. You'd be better off just buying the thing on DVD. Was the new Bond film good enough to make it worht it, at least? I haven't seen it yet.

California huh? Sorry to hear that.....

One thing I know for sure, the new Bond movie isn't worth 16 bucks.

Hope everything works out for you and your family in the new house.

Well....$8 of that was popcorn and a soda. But still... I thought the same thing about just buying it on DVD. No wonder our theaters are in such bad financial shape, people just don't go to see movies like they use to. Of course the studios are still making the big bucks though.

Welcome back Jim!

What in the world made you move to California?

Anders,
Thanks. My wife was a big part of it since she was born here. But I like the western states as much as the east. What made you choose Missouri?

Welcome back, Jim, you're a braver man than I, both for moving to Cali and for paying that much for popcorn and soda.

Anders, where do you live in Missouri?

Jim,

Glad to see that you have come back and settled down in Cali.
That's so strange that me and SS74 both couldn't login to armorama this afternoon. And now I think that you might have to perform some maintanence on the site.

If Emily likes the new place, the whole family will be happy with it !

I hope those pills work well, since there's a lot of work to be done around this place.

Nice to have you back on the bridge !

Steve,
I think Interland was performing some upgrades to their server software during the last 24 hours so that might have been why.

Hey Jimbo, isn't California known for its sun, sand and blonde beauties.. or am I watching too much Baywatch? :-)

Hope you will like your new house and if you need some Feng Shui advice just give me a call. I'll do my best to convince you that you need to redecorate your garden in order to have clear thoughts, an aquarium in the living room as a serenity island and those smelly sticks to even the 5 elements.. #:-)

Glad you're back.... the air was staring to get a little stuffy with the same old content... but the discussion groups continued to be lively, and everyone was well behaved... no one got put into "time-out"!

So Jim, was this simply a move for your wife to "get back home", or did one of you get "transferred" here for work?
