Looks great. Excellent job. The airborne jeep looks good in it.

Holy $#*%!!!! Where in the world are you going to store this monstrosity!?!? You obviously can't hang it from the ceiling, not without reinforcing the ceiling with some rebar! :-)
nicely done,

I didn't realize an airborne jeep fit so snug inside the horsa. That is way cool

Can you put something recognisable next to it to give me an idea of the size please?

Great job (pun intended)!
I didn't realise how tight the jeep fits either.
Good job on the paintwork, but I think the tailskid is a bit glossy..might be the photo though..

Hello Chaps
Yes the jeep is a tight fit! I will sort out some more pics, some with grafitti on the sides too.
I think the gloss is because i used flash on the camera, sorry it looks cack, didn't notice last night when i posted them.
Cheers

Looks great, Dus. Would really like to see some more detailed pix of interior, etc. Are you going to place this in a dio, or rather build a dio around the thing, it being so huge?

BTW, what's a Horsa doing in this forum? Are gliders considered IFVs? :-)

Nick, they are available from Simon Farrugia of Great North Roads as resin kit with full internal detail.
Look Here David, it just sort of gravitated here because of an unusual chain of circumstances!

I thought 'cos it was 1/35th scale and used by infantry/army units it would need to be posted in AFV's?
Apologies if I have offended Armorama etiquette. Is this the case?
The Horsa is produced by Great North Roads in the UK. Vinnie has posted a link to his site in the reply above.

Dave
Sorry mate didn't answer your question about a diorama.
The plan is to have a jeep and Trailer driving out the glider with a few para's 'holding' the drop zone. I have a half done morter crew that i might use in one corner maybe with a Vickers medium gun.
Sound feasible?
Cheers

Hi Dus,
Nice looking kit. It's a pity the fuselage is so thick as it will spoil the overall effect of what sounds like a great dio.
Perhaps you can blend it in in some way. I visited the Royal Army Air Corps Museum last year and they have one that they are restoring/is on view. Plywood, tin and wire!! - Very flimsy.
Resicast have some great Paras. It sounds like you have some already.
I hope you will post the finished product it should look great.

Hi Alan
The thickness you can see is one of the internal bulkheads of the airframe. The fuselage is actually a lot thinner cast with all the ribbing in place.
yes mate, I have loads of Resicast stuff.
Cheers

That is a great model! Great job. I can imagine the nose open with red devils running out accompanied by a jeep. Awesome.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dus,
That is a fantastic job that you have made to a great kit.
After trying to work out the size of the model from your pictures, we can only say on behalf of your good lady, god forbid if they decide to produce a 1/35th Halifax or Dakota to tow it, because the thought of a diorama that fills the lounge must be frightening.
Seriously you have made a superb rendition and I hope like others that you will share more pictures and how about a review of the build.
Regards,
John

Madre de dio!!!! That's gonna be a mother of a dio, Dus. Good luck, I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun. Is it possible to actually drive a jeep out of there without losing ones head?
BTW, thanks for the additional pix. The graffitti's hilarious :-)

Hi Dave
You're right, how do you get in or out of the seat when the jeeps all parked up??????
I always had it in my mind to draw a 'chad' on the side
