What does 2m 40cm mean in inches?

I hope I counted correctly 2,4m is about 94,49 inches. (1 inch = 2,54 cm)

I've started Tamiyas' FAMo & Transporter. I've gotten to the winch assembly and it directs to:cut the string into 2m 40cm!! That's over 6 ft, I think. Is this a misprint?

Actually 2.4 m is 7ft and 10 1/2".

Yes, Google is great for conversions like that.
Just enter "2m 40 cm to inch" or "240 cm to inch" and you get it.

is exactly 94.488 inches or 94-1/2 inches roughly
