Dear all,
Hi, i posted this question in the armour forum but i think it is in the wrong place. I did'nt notice this section so please bear with me.
The question i asked was how to best paint a tank. I have done a couple of tanks and am working on italeris crusader mk 2. I have decided to change the way i do it and completely build it less wheels and paint everything in situ. I have read much on the subject and base coating in black and building up with successively lighter top coatsseems to be interesting.
I would be gratefull if anyone can offer some advice. I had two kind replies from my armour post but putting it here may be better.
Plus, i have some lifecolour paints, and have tried a few ways to thin. I use the Aztek A430 and A470 brushes but have never had much joy in getting a good consistency being either too thin or thick. I don't mix it in the paint cup as it has a tendancy to foam.
Sorry for waffling on
THANKS

I use some Lifecolor as well. I mix mine in a separate jar using the Lifecolor thinner or plain water. What I have found is that if it is thinned too much with either it will spray and run right away. Remember to use some type of primer as the Lifecolor will stick alot better. I mostly use Tamiya flat black as a combo basecoat and primer-it seems to work great for me.
