I spry my model with testors dullcoat and it doesn't seem to work I don't get a dead flat finish. Do I need to put a couple of more layers?

Is the bottle well shaken so the flattening agent is well distributed? Is it an old bottle where much of the flattening agent has been used up? Are you spraying in a cold area? A club member hit a figure with Dullcote in a cold garage and it never got dull. Are you using a can or an airbrush?

I have not had problesm spraying dull coat in my garage at 50degrees F. So that should not be a problem. Make sure the can is well shaken, Otherwise, just by a new can, you might have a lemon, you should be fine

I'm betting that's it. The guy from the club identified that as the major variable in his troubles with this.

I would have to say that if the dullcoat is not throughly mixed or too thinner rich (which I doubt if it is in a can), it would not work well. I have never heard of the temp effecting the coat but then again,I do all of my painting indoors.
Hope it works out,
Andrew
