Howdy Peter, the round 18 inch searchlight is called a "Crouse-Hinds model 44676-C" searchlight. The Operator's, Organizational Field and Depot Maintenance Manual is TM 5-6230-201-15. Accurate Armor makes one for their M46. There was also a company called Old Ironsides who made a resin/PE version in 1/35. Tamiya Model Magazine International issue number 81, Aug-Sep 2000 has an article with two M48 builds in it, one a USMC version with the circular searchlight. Out here.

You wouldn't happen to have some reference drawings or photos of said projector?
I am doing a 3D model of the M46 at tthe moment and in dire need of precise reference drawings.

Thank you very much.
If you should have precise scale drawings of the m46, I'll make you the best pizza you ever had, should you come to Denmark

A Danish pizza ? Why not
Here are 2 drawings from Hunnicutt's "Patton" book. The quality is rather poor but as far as I can tell, the width = 29 3/4 inch and the length = 20 1/4 inch :
Talking about this book, it includes a 4 view drawing of the M46. If your interested just PM me your email adress.
