Anybody tried using Badger Airbrush Cleaner.
I bought a can to try the other day.
Last night after doing some spraying I cleaned the AB with the spray.
Tonight,,just as I was coming to the end of spraying my latest kit,on what would have been about the last pass of the airbrush, it coughed out a huge dollop of paint and a generous amount of airbrush cleaner.
I know it was AB cleaner cause it was all over the nozzle afterwards.
Ive now got to sand the affected area with 1200 grit and respray it!!
The can of airbrush cleaner has been consigned to the dustbin!
Anyone else had a similar experience
I will be sticking to cleaning my AB with white spirit and cotton buds from now on.

Sorry to hear bout that, but nope, never experienced that before. I simply used thinners and cotton buds for my gravity feed AB.
Cheers!

Hi Nigel,
I have been using Badger and similar AB cleaners for donkeys years and I can truthfully say that I have never had any experience like that, particularly as the stuff evaporates being a solvent. My only thought is that somewhere in the bowels of your brush [what type is it?] that there was some dried paint buildup that the cleaner took some time to dissolve/release and the air pressure did the rest.
Anyway those are my thoughts as cleaning one of my brushes, the Aztec has lots of sealed areas, unlike my Paasch that can be fully field stripped.

Hi all.
The good news is that it cerainly seems to be clean now. I used it on Saturday night and ha no problems.Afterwards I first soaked the whole "business end" in white spirit, and then cleaned whatever I could get a soaked cotton bud into.Lastly I blew a load of white spirit through the brush at different pressures and intensities and it should be fine now.
I was also able to clean the model up and its now back on track.
Thanks for the advice!
