Hi all.
Further to my earlier post on Badger Airbrush cleaner, Id like advice on damage control.
To sum up. My AB as deposited a mixture of thinned enamel and air brush cleaner on my model. Sounds horrible but Im pretty sure it'll clean up ok.At least now I know that my AB is clear.I'll be sticking to cleaning it with white spirit in future.
Anyway,,my question is,,,
What would you suggest to clean it off.
Ive tested sanding down a small area with 1200 grit and it seems to work, but could I use thinners or maybe nail varnish remover to clean it off?
The model was primed first and has a couple of coats of matt black enamel on it before the "accident".
Im pretty confident I wont have to resort to the old oven cleaner/plastic bag trick but any advice before I start would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Stick with sanding starting with a heavier grade paper and working your way to finer grades.

Polly scale makes a paint remover that works quite well, if you're having some problem with sanding.

Hi all and thanks for the advice.
Im happy to be able to report that a wipe with kitchen roll dipped in white spirit, followed by a rub down with 1200 wet/dry did the trick.
Onwards and upwards
