And you thought I was gone! I have an odd request for those of you who are endowed in the trucking arts...I'm doing the Tamiya CCKW 2 & 1/2 ton truck, and I was wondering: does anyone here have some reference pictures of the engine? I know that the Tamiya kit is a dream, but there's always room for improvement, and I've always wanted to work on my scratchbuilding skills. I'll try and get some progess pictures up A.S.A.P. Thanks for your time.

MEBM,
If you get any good sources, let me know too as I am going to build two of 'em for my dio......I'm probably going to get the Verlinden AM that has the engine, but would love to super one of 'em as a side-scene (pulling maintenance?).

A better topic title may have caught the eye of someone who has the right information.

Ah, okay. Good point. Could someone be so kind as to change it for me, as I can't remember whether I can change it myself. Thanks for your time and suggestion. A better topic title may have caught the eye of someone who has the right information.

Here found these
towards the bottom there are some minor detailed pictures, sideshots.
http://www.armyjeeps.net/Trucks/Bolster%20Photos/gmc_cckw_bolster_truck.htm
and:
VOILA!
Since I've worked with a 1/2 ton chevy truck, I must say that even though this is a 2 1/2 ton, the engines look almost identical, just bigger :-) simplicity at its finest. http://www.armyjeeps.net/Trucks/CCKW%20744penn/1945_gmc_cckw.htm
This guy has some trucks for sale that say "email for pictures" so I suppose you could email him and ask for some engine shots.

I hope these help, they look like they would. Good luck and keep us updated.

Thank you all so much! These will help so much! You see, I'm in 4-H, and I'm doing a diorama containing it. See, it's my last year in 4-H (10 years!), and I really want it to go to State! Thanks once again!
