This is a display of my Tamiya King Tiger 1/35 scale. This has been enhanced with Aber brass set for tools and side guards, Tamiya individual track links and various scratchbuilt items. Kasten wing nuts also added.
The base has been enhanced with an piece of a VP farmhouse, VP stumps, Hudson and Allen Autum Leaves and Brass shells. The figures are the DML set that are made for 222. I did not set them in the classic photo position as this would have put them at the rear of the display [the tank has backed in to it's position]. I added other details such as fuel overflow and crank bracket chain which will show up when I post the last couple of shots. More soon. I hope you enjoy.

Heeuz looks good, How did you made the leaves??
One question though. Why are there track marks in the front of the tank?? Is that because it is driving backwards??

Hilbert,
thanks, the leaves are from Hudson and Allen. The tank is backed into the position as stated in the write up.

Hi,
Very nice dio indeed ! I love the ground and the details on this big cat. The Hudson and allen foliage is excellent but hard to find in our LHS (In France).
Where did you find yours ?

What a super build, the Tiger and figures all balance and blend within the diorama for a really great visual feast. You really ought to give us a breakdown on what you used for things like the leaves etc.
If I may make one suggestion, how about making it a black and white picture in photoshop or similar as it would look really atmospheric and moody shot from a low angle.
Look forward to seeing more of it, its great.
John

Julien,
thank you.
I got mine through the model shops here. I encouraged the wholesler to bring it in when I was doing some stuff for custom dioramics.

John hows this.....................
Groundwork......
this was shaped underneath with modelling clay, then painted with a mixture of white glue and water. I then put down the stones , dirt and static grass. When it drys I paint everything. Then I put on the autumn leaves and spray the mix from a bottle.

Gday Ian
Not into the German stuff but
I know what I like! This impresses me for the fact that you have captured the camo 'in action' with clever blending of groundwork...
Kudos! Extra points for being a Victorian :-)
Cheers

I really like the diorama. The leaves are wonderfully done. They blend the entire scene.
I like the unconventional use of the figures.
Nice creativity.
