Interesting design. You always have very unique structures.

Question - what's holding up the or what is the plan for the step area on the left side (the part with the black end in the first photo).

I figured you just hadn't gotten totally done yet. You have always had a plan

I like the drawing - it's going to be great.

Just fantastic work.

As an artistic design even, it has so much eye
appeal. A lot more in planning and executing
this kind of scratchbuilt structure but IMHO so
much more interesting that the prefababricated
one that a person can buy as a kit. Sir, you are
very talented. Thanks for including the sketch.

Hello to all
thank you for your kind comments.

Not ,in my professional life I don't have anything to do with the architecture. Although these works have more relationship with the scenery that with the architecture. I have always liked the old movies of Holywood where the decorators were able to recreate any scenario: a medieval castle, a street of Paris, the African forest inside the four walls of a study. They took elements of the reality and they combined them so that they seemed real, they created an illusion, that is what I try to make me with these pieces. The architecture has some rules the scenery others they sometimes coincide but you sometimes have to force the reality a little to obtain a result.
my two cents

Very inspirational ... yet again .... Carlos. Always look forward to your next works.

I noticed you go through stages, where you use different mediums ... cork, cardboard and now plastic. Is this experimenting or do you find better/finer results with plastic? What makes you decide which medium to use .... is it just a feeling or is it the demands of a certain project (ie; for commercialisation) or c) all of the above. Just wondering.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Frank I use different materials, it depends of the effect that I´m finding, for rough texture : weathered brick work, old stone wall, old stucco, etc I use cork in differnet levels of sanding, for more modern or fine texture I use plastic with different disolvent treatements... and carboard for funny or for show that with very cheap materials you can obtain very decent results :-)
dierderick:
I use poliestirene plastic, the same that the kits are fabricated. this plastic came in very big sheets for making commercial sings
best whises
