Hi
I have recently ordered the Verlinden - King Tiger Engine Compartment and King Tiger Interior accessories. I was wondering, while i am waiting for the accessories to arrive, what the quality is like.
If anyone has used it before, i would like your opinion on it.
Cheers

I hope its the right one - I ordered a Tiger 1 compartment and the box contains a King tiger compartment. The engine had an oval flywheel

James,
My experience with Verlinden has been rather dissapointing - I have found that their stuff tends to be oversized regardless of the true scale of the kit and makes me wonder if they even bothered utilizing said kit that the after-market parts were meant for...
I hope that this is not the case with what you ordered for your KT.

My issue with Verlinden is what you don't get......I mean some of there slick photo depictions will fool you if you don't read the fine print. The PE engine walls have all sorts of holes for plumbing, but, you don't get it in the kit, just the resin engine bits and the bulkheads. So, it's time to scratch build or purchase the Tamiya kit and kitbash the plumbing - that is what I did....

In the end, it all goes to the landfill, even you.
Crockett,
- that's awesome. So true in a morbid kind of way. I love it. :-)

James,
i have used the same kits you have ordered and they are not that bad. The interior is as good as the Jaguar one, but the Verlinden instructions suck. The engine, however, is not a complete engine it is only the top half of it. That is not to bad considering with the deck glued in place you cannot see too much, but if you want to display it with the top off then it can be a pain.
When your parts arrive, always dry fit them, or hold them in place with something, blu-tac, double sided tape. That way you should avoid any fit issues...good luck, and if you need any help let me know.

I've seen a verlinden interior kit in a Tamiya Porsche version. It looked pretty good. I think the motor is OK but I've never seen t. I did use one of the Tiger 1 versions and ound to be acceptable, but I had to scratch out fuel tanks etc.
