Hi,

I need help for my new dio:
What damage could an sdkfz 250 suffer when it is hit by a US bazooka on the driver side from around 30 metres?
As l know that type of anti tank shell burnt a hole on the armor. Does this exploded after inside the cabin? Does this made the vehicle burn out ?
Where is the fuel tank of that type of machine?

Does anyone has any reference pix?

Thx for your help in advance.

Cheers

No specific pictures of the vehicle you are looking for but some good "general" destroyed vehicle pictures:

Great site Shaun!
I was thinking of the 251 Drilling pics in the old Ground Power showing blown apart vehicles, but since I cannot read Japanese I don't know what knocked them out.

Those sd.kfz 250s were specificly desined to deflect small arms hits. So I would thik it depends on which area it hit. If it hit the top angled sections I would think it would glance off and explode? and if it hit lower that would be more of a death blow, either entering the vehicle or glancing down and under the vehicle and exploding. The point I'm trying to make is -when you make the point of entry, make it in a realistic spot on the sdkfz 250 and yes those heat rounds exploded after entry. You can read a great deal on the the subject here:
