I spent most of my time,online,today,12/14/02,trying to get in here to armorama. After a good part of the day was finished, the website started to return a "too many conections" notice. Was I finally got in here by remembering that I had a favorites link to Sabots workshop pics,From there i just clicked the appropriate buttons but have found the place deserted. Was I the only one locked out of our beloved website? It was hard on me to not be able to get in here.Hopr this was just a temporary glitch and NEVER threatens to put me through therapy again!LOL

I am not 100% sure actually. But it appears to be corrected (at least for now). For the techie types our hosting provider gives us 50 simultaneous connections and it appears we are occasionally exceeding this. If this situation becomes an issue I will again have to look for more robust hosting or enhanced service. And for the record 50 connections does not mean 50 users, it means that at one brief moment in server "time" there can only be 50 seperate user requests going through at one time. We have already had more than 75 or more people on the site at one time without too much trouble.

Cheers,
Jim

Pigs, me too....and I almost cried, mind you all I am a very macho man and seldom cries in spite of the scented candles.

Jim, on a more serious note, if this upgrade thing needs any financial backings, I for one will be more than happy to pay say an amount a month for upgrading. Let us know if there is any support you need. Thanks!

Got the same problem since yesterday. I emailed staff_Jim and this is the reply I got from him:

Gennady,
Sorry about the outage. Interland apparently hadn't finished their software
updates and screwed something up badly. They area fixing it now and claim it
will be back up within the hour.

Thanks for letting me know.

Jim

Had the same problem here and on my job

the first thing I do when I get out of bed is checking Armorama before I go to work
...No response. So I went to work with a SH@TTY feeling
at the office where I work I tried again........ No response again.
from that point my addiction showed really his traces. I went depressive. Didn`t care about my work anymore:(, F@%$& things up tried to kill my roommates and .... no I`m exagerating now.

Glad that it works again

Hey guys the chat in MSN works very well, so if you wanna you can hop in there. it's http://group.msn.com, then you can select chat there all you need to do is install a small program there.

Hi Jim,

I don't think the problem is fully fixed yet

I still loose the connection to this site every now and then

Sometimes I can get to one page (home page for example) but when I select another like the forums, then I get a error message that the server is not responding :-(

This is no way to celibrate a birthday

Ronny,
Well you know what happens as things get older.

I am hopeful though that some the the MySQL error messages are just due to Interlands recent changes to their software. It's common for systems to be a little unstable at times like that.

Rest assured I will keep these issues in mind as I consider other hosting options and plans. I ran across a company that offers dedicated hosting (meaning we own the whole server) at reasonable rates and offering GIGANTIC levels of bandwidth. It almost seemed to good to be true so I am a little suspicious of course.

Too bad. I was so sure the problem couldn't be at your end, I flunked my PC out the window.

Jim, we have a 2 Gb pipe for our site and I get sick every month when I see the invoice for that ! If your solution comes cheap, please let me know.
