Hey,
If you haven't followed my dio click here to see my gallery. Finally got a chance to do a bit of work in the weekend. The photos below are from the base,as i had applied various 'brick coloured' shades to the debris, and various grey mixes to the cobblestones.
Then i misted a coat of dark brown over the debris, making areas darker than others, making the colours more uniform:
Should be ready for its first wash and then later, pastels etc.
ALOT of work still be done on figures, building and OPEL BLITZ.Thanks for everyones past comments on my progress so far!Any feedback would be great.Cheers guys (and gals),Shay

Hi all,
Luke and Karl, thanks for your comments and for the time taken to look at the pics.Shain, the Opel Blitz that i will use is from Italeri. The length is perfect for my dio to fill up a bit of space and 'tie' the height of the building with the base. Link to the truck with photos here.BTW the wash still has to go on,so the colours will change once again.. hopefully!.Jim,nice to hear from you again mate, skype me sometime!Cheers,Shay

G'day mate
looking good!
first thing i though was, geez better get him to tone down the red,but the next pictures showed me that you had that covered.
Can't see anything wrong with it right now met... but as it always goes with me anyway, theres still time to bugger something up :-)
Cheers mate

What happened to the tyre in the first few pics?
Looks great - the brown overspray really toned it down - more than I thought it would.
Very interesting base too with all corners raised.

Wow! Slipping into 'seasoned veteran' mode here :-)
Looks grand, Shay. Did you mention you were going to add a wash? From the last pic I would have thought you could get away without one...
As David said, time enuff to bugger it up
Just kidding! Soldier on...
Cheers
