Has anyone looked into converting the Academy 1/35 KIFV or YPR-765 into an Italian VCC-1? It seems like it might not be too difficult, especially from the KIFV. I no longer have a KIFV kit in my stash so I can't say for sure.

Doing some kitbashing, the KIFV could be turn into the VCC-1. And with less work, make the YPR-765 version.

You might as well start with a cheap M113 hull for a VCC-1. The resin conversion isn't that easy to do either but it's a good start.
L-R VCC-1 resin conversion, AFV Club AIFV, Academy KIFV, lame attempt to convert KIFV roof:
It's not that easy to convert a KIFV to a YPR-765/AIFV as the rear hulls are fairly different and you have to build up the front deck as I attempted before the great AFV Club kit came out.

Paul,
Thanks for the pictures. Such a conversion is beyond my skills. I guess I will just have to wait for someone to do a kit of this.

Be patient Gary
There are rumors about an italian company working on a new master of the VCC-1, may be Historica Productions. Crielmodel Vcc-1 is good enough but not perfect.

It's rumoured that you will not see anything before the next year .
