Hello to all,
I was just wondering if there were any Dozer shermans on Iwo Jima? If yes, were they on the M4a2?
Thank you for the help

That indicates that they were there. Not sure of the variant.

A google search on dozer on iwo jima returned a bunch.

There were tank dozers present on Iwo. What type and how many, I'm not sure. As for M4A2's, the 3rd Tank Bn used M4A2's while the 4th and 5th Tank Bns used M4A3's.

In the Kagero book on M3 and M4 Tanks in Pacific Combat it shows two types of dozer tanks on Iwo Jima One is an M4A3(76)W that has the late T23 turret and muzzle brake and the other one is a 75mm variant

I can't tell if that 75mm varian is an A2 or an A3
