I've got #35061, the one with US and German markings. Nice kit.

Thanks Rob. I'm thinking of doing Patton in WW1 with his tank. Got the idea from the Patton Museum.

I have kit #35062 and the Armo FT-17 interior plus I plan to buy the Friulmodel tracks and a set of Aber PE. The kit looks pretty nice. They gotten knocked a bit for not being too accurate, but it certainly looks like an FT-17 to me and it should go together pretty easily. The RPM kits that I have built in the past have not had very many fit problems and on the whole have been very nice kits.

Here are some links to finished RPM FT-17s that you might find interesting.

Lots of food for thought here. Patton commanded his tanks from the ground... you could have him with the tank with a .45 pistol..

BC---this has nothing to do with the tank question, however, I viewed your Gallery page. I am interested in the paint rack in the background. Can you provide details on it? Did you make it or buy it?
thanks

I bought them. They are cutlery trays to fit in drawers.

Ben,
I have some close up pictures of an FT17 suspension I took at the Virginia Museum of Military Vehicles up near Manassas. I just have to find them. When I do, I will post a link to them on the Armorama MSN picture site.

Patton and his FT-17s. Actually he ended the war commanding a Brigade of FT-17s. US armor officers led their units on foot, usually with a walking stick. They lead on foot to identify shell craters and the stick was used to test depth of water filled craters and to measure depth of mud. The drivers and gunners/TCs of the FT-17 has very limited vision. Patton was wounded during one attack, forget which one, he refused first aid and continued to direct his unit's attack using runners and a field phone. For this action he was awarded his first DSC.

Ideas for a diorama - base: a crater-filled field with torn barbed wire and poles. Have WWI American Officer with steel helmet, appropriate gear and a walking stick, leading an FT-17, buttoned up, avoiding the shell craters.
