Hi guys,
What would you recommend, to use for thinning Mr Surfacer 1000? I got Gunze thinner (lacquer based) with me. Would that work?
I'm afraid it will clog my airbrush nozzle when sprayed. Anyone had any bad experience with Mr Surfacer 1000 clogging your airbrush before?

Well..
I have the book/magazine Modellers Guide to the Tiger Tank, and it recommends thinning with Mr Color Thinner, however they use only a brush to apply it.
With 1000 you are probably ok using it in your airbrush thinned, but be sure to clean it thoroughly..

Here is a pic of my scratchbuilt 1/35 scale T-34-76 interior that was primed with Mr. Surfacer 500 thinned with Mr. Levelling Thinner. I used a 6 parts thinner to 4 parts surfacer and acheived super-smooth results! I'm truly sold on the stuff!

So far that T-34 looks like a work of art. Show us some more.

Thanks guys for your help. I'll give the thinning process a shot. Hopefully all goes well... :-)
By the way, should it be thinned to a "milky consistency"?
Great job on the T-34, Mike! The painting and weathering of the interior looks awesome!

I think the milky consistency is a good goal for anything you wish to spray through an airbrush

Isn't the spraybottle easier?

True... but it doesn't give you as much control as compared to using an airbrush. I guess it's up to personal preference.
