Would have been nice to see the other version of the blow off panel top included (welded on caps with eyehooks removed).

These will come with M1A2SEP kit, as this is most common type on these tanks.

I saw the link from ML this morning. It is amazing to see that someone has begun to understand that most tanks aren't alike.
Even when the heavies were first fielded, the tanks differed between Lima-built and Detroit-built tanks and even tanks built at the same factory differed between one another.
The crosswind sensor was always a mystery. There were three different types back then and it appeared as there was no ryhme or reason as to which tank had what type.
Same with the land mines on the blast panels. Not there, there, welded on, not there but had the bare spots where the non-skid was left off, back to not there...
Then there's the dog house issue. We we issued non-heavy tanks with the initial style, then they were added later. We were issued heavies with the initial style, then they were upgraded at a later date.
So it was possible to have an early M1A1 with an updated doghouse before Desert Storm and years later have an M1A1HA with an early style doghouse after Desert Storm.
Now that the Army is rebuilding all those mismatched tanks into M1A1AIMs, it is a small wonder why no two are alike.
Of course there will be those modelers who will say "this is an identification feature of an M1A1...M1A1HA...M1A1AIM..."

And that identifiable feature is roadwheels and treads.
These M1 rebuilds are getting to be just as bad as all those HUMVEE variants...oh the possibilities.
Personally I'll be needing at least 4-5 of these kits just to keep the possibilities covered. At least that's my excuse.
