Greetings,
I am working on my first model tank. It is the Tamiya Abrams and was hoping to get some answers to the following questions:
Can anyone give me some ideas how to paint the tracks? I checked out the above thread but the Abrams tracks have rubber pads, I believe and would be different than those discussed above.
Is it better to paint the tracks then put them together (the two ends to each track section) and then install on the road wheels or is there an easier method.
What is the best way to glue the two ends of the tracks together.
I can sure use some advice. I have always been an airplane guy but am finding this armor stuff pretty fun.
Thanks again,
Chuck B.

hi chuck what i done before was to lay the tracks flat then make a wash of humbrol enamels rust thinned with white spirit this wash all over the track drys overnight turn tracks over and do the other side i then left to dry again then dry brush the middle of the tracks with flat black leave to dry then dry brush aluminium on the track pins on the ends
to join the tracks ive used the normal poly cement or super glue if it breaks whilst putting it on youu can sew it toghter with thread then posistion this at the top or bottom so its hidden from view hope this helps you
