Does the fact that Dragons web page is advertising the M1A1 as a new release mean that it will be in the shops within days.

Don't hold your breath. I saw somewhere a release date of March...probably last half of March. There's nothing I can find on their website about it being released yet.

The kit will be released to international markets no earlier than second half of March. It means that you will most likely not see it in your LHS before April.
