Hi all, I started this truck last week and it´s almost finished, gotta make some corrections like clean the front windows, apply the shield of the Chilean Marines and do some weathering, among other things. The decals were made with the testors decal sheet, and are proper for the Chilean Marine Corps. The chilean version of the truck doesn´t have a ring mounted .50 cal, but I keep it because I think it looks better . Hope you like it and comments welcome

cheers

A good build Klaus! There is one thing I´d like to mention though, try to give the decals a mat coat. No they shine and stands out too much from the rest. Keep up the good work!
Cheers Andreas

Looks nice Klaus, but one thing that drew my attention was the seam on the tyres.
Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply and nice comments guys!

Henk: Since the tires are made from rubber, I didn´t want to risk to damage them removing the seam

Andreas: Thanks for the tip, I´ll aply mat coat after I place the Chilean Marines shield decal

kiutharian: Many thanks for your kind words

Cheers to all

Klaus where do you find the time to keep turning out these nice models.
I agree with Henk about the visible seam on the tyres, which you could loose carefully by mounting it in a motor tool and gently spinning that against some abrasive paper and it would make them look road worn. As for the MG ring it would look a little bare without one so use your artistic licence. How many more vehicles do you have to build for a full set of Chilean Military Vehicles?

Regards,

John

About that question, gosh it will be hard to say, some of the vehicles don´t have a 1/35 scale kit available , here´s some of them:

- Gama Goat (a shame that no brand made it in 1/35, it´s a nice looking vehicle....)
- KH-178 105mm howitzer (korean modified M-101, íf I get the Revell M101 should look similar.....)
- Iveco trucks (similar to the GAZ 66?, but I think I´ll not be able to modified it or scratch build....)
- Soltam M-71 (gotta made it from scratch)
- BV 206 (another shame....)

Maybe I´m going to finish my collection of Chilean Army vehicles first, then I´ll start the hard job to get the Marines ones.....

Cheers and thanks again
