Just thought I'd let everyone know that I've built a web page to illustrate the unique mix of tanks and markings in the 752nd Tank Battalion, which was the most highly decorated independent tank battalion in Italy. It shows quite a few original photos from the tankers' own private collections, and illustrates a wide range of equipment and marking variations. It also clearly depicts a very unique large-format tactical numbering system employed by the 752nd early in its combat period.
Right now I have completed pages detailing the M4/M4A1s, as well as the battalion's Rocket Tanks. In the next few weeks I will be completing pages to illustrate the late-war M4A3 76mm tanks, the M3/M5/M24 Light Tanks, and the old M3 Lee Mediums.
Hopefully this will be a good resource for modeleres as well as those with technical/historical interests. The web section begins at:
http://www.752ndtank.com/vehicles.html
Hope this is of interest.
Bob

Bob, first of all many thanks for posting that links and congratulations with the site!
I'm now moving very much towards modelling specific vehicles from specific units. I'm also like a few others looking for the historical background - something the site provides in abundance...
The M4a3s are going to be very welcome indeed!
Thanks again, for superb work!..Jim

Very impressive site, which I've looked at several times in the past. It's now inspiring me to do something with my Dragon M4A1
