Hi friends.
I'm building the TAMIYA 1/35 M4 Sherman.
Its original .50 cal.MG on the turret lacks in details so I want to replace it.
Wich is the best kit (resin, metal, plastic, etc) I can use???
Give some good advice!!

Thanks
Tom

Skybow, before they were purchased by AFV, had a 50cal kit which was good and sold as a seperate item. There may be some of these still around.

Cheers

Academy do a reasonably nice set of .50cal in plastic. Much better than the ones that come with their AFVs

Aber makes excellent PE . It consists of over 30 parts and in my opinion is much better than any Eduard. There're different versions for WW2 and modern one, in one set you have parts for two guns.
There's photo of completed MG:

Acadamy is best, especially if on a budget. Collectors Brass has an outrageous line of WW2 Mg's and a variety of mounts..50 with Hvy barrel or Aircraft type..30 cal water cooled.
Shameless plug-got mine at R&J Products.
Not affiliated,just a happy consumer.
cheers!

Great link Gino. I've built the Formations ones and they go together nicely. I have the resin Verlinden ones too and they're nice but I think I'll get Formations in the future. The Formations' square ammo box is a nice touch.

YES! Finally someone who agrees that the Formations Ma Deuce is the tops! I would agree that the Academy set is the best in Plastic; you can use the Mission Models brass rounds with them too!

To my knowledge Formations and Cal scale are the ONLY ones to offer the early style ammo box (the larger one started showing up after 4/44....
