Hi all,
Came across this kit by Kirin today. I'm planning on building my own tobruk bunker for use in RC battle dioramas. The resin base which comes with the kit is real nice though.
Some putty is required for the cupola
Strangely enough there is also a second turret in the kit. Broken, and without a cupola, gun or details but I think I'll use it for a destroyed bunker. The turret will be armed with a machinegun and I'll try to scratchbuild the interior and exteriour details.

LOL would be a bit boring.....only fun if you could control an entrie defensive line at once but it's much cooler to drive with a tank than to control a static defensive position

Jeff:
Most of the ones I've seen have been on eBay. I've got a few of the Kirin kits. Panzerbuchse AT gun, Nebelwerfer, Mk. 19 grenade launcher, two Dragon AT sets, and a few other bits.
Watch it carefully though, sometimes they are grossly overpriced, other times they are a downright steal. I'm still watching for a certain Cassino Fallschirmjager, as he can be adapted to become the gunner for the PzB. AT.

Maartin,
Neat idea, converting this for RC Battle. Do you plan on adding a turret traverse mechanism?

Hehe I want to use it in diorama's, not for battle itself.
For that I've got my tanks!
As I said it's a bit boring to control a bunker...it can't move!

You could use it as a "guest" type of thing, wherein somebody who's checking out what you are doing could take control of it, and get a feel for what tank combat is like....Hehe I want to use it in diorama's, not for battle itself.

Just an Idea...
Certainly looks like a cool kit...must've been expensive!

Well it was not that expensive actually.
The kit normally costs about 90 euros here but it was now for sale, so I bought it for 30 euros!
