Iam looking for any photos on the An Khe Pass, part of the Mang Yang Pass. I have a few photos allready but the more the better. I've also found a few on the web.

Iam looking for pictures of the Hairpin Turn. any one have any?

Mike, some links, (but you've probably already seen them). Probably not much help as far was what you are exactly looking for, but I thought I'd shoot them over here for you.

That's a tall order, perhaps you could tell us why in particular, you need that exact location as I, or others might have similar photos that contain the details you require.
If it's purely so you can accurately model the location, here are a couple of suggestions:
1. See if there are any period reconnaisance photos available. You never know, the US Air Force may well have declassified stuff, phone up their PR dept.
2. Try finding the location's exact co-ordinates and go to that location in MS Flight Simulator 2002, I believe the terrain data is fairly accurate worldwide. If you haven't got this programme, and you'd like me to try this for you, let me know. You could also see if NASA have any satellite photos of the location.
3. Try one of those CD atlas things, they are usually in the bargain racks at computer stores.
4. Contact a veteran's association, in particular, units involved in the incident you are researching and see if anyone had a camera there.
5. See if National Geographic comes up with anything.
6, Make it up LOL!

Good luck with your search.

Steve thanks for the lins. I've seen a few of them but I found a few that might work, thanks!

Holocaust59, Iam thinking of doing a Vietnam diorama with the 541st. Co. traveling of the pass. Guntrucks, supply trucks, etc. being ambushed by the VC. I was talking to a Veteran and he mentioned that I might go with the An Khe Pass, specifically the Hairpin Turn, or around that area. It sounds like a good idea but iam stil thinking of where to place the convoy.

If you wouldnt mind trying that thing on Flight Simulator could you?

tanks,
Mike
