Greetings all,

I'm after some information about the Canadian 3rd Infantry Division who landed on Nan Red Beach On D Day.

Does anyone know of a good web site I could visit to do some research?

What were the shoulder markings of the Canadian North Shore (New Brunswick) Regiment who landed on Nan Red, and what were the shoulder markings of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada who landed on Nan White Beach.

I know that a few DD tanks landed in support, what follow up armoured units supported their landing? I've seen pictures of Canadian M10's and Priest/Sexton self propelled guns on and near the beach. (Were the Canadian M10's ('Wolverines' ) actually British Achilles with the 17lb?)

If you happen to know the Armd Spt Units, what type of Shermans were they equippted with Mk III's, Mk V's and Fireflys?

Thanks vey much. I have started my web search and have got a lot of information on 3rd Inf Div and the breakdown of Inf Bdes and Armd Regts.

I'll break these down to Bn level and check out the sites you have listed. Links very much apprciated. If you have any specifically on Canadian Armour that would be great.
