I'm almost finished with the sherman and decided to build the M-8 next. Any suggestions on detail sets or any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Thats a question I am looking for answers on too. I just picked up an old Monogram M-8 Greyhound and am wondering how accurate it is and if anybody makes a good repro 37mm gun?

PS-M1 how about sending me a Henry's????

Being that I will soon be starting the M20, I was looking for sets too.

Aber makes a PE set (# 35072) which includes decals, (# 35a72) M8/M20 Fenders, (# 35a83) M8/M20 STOWAGE BOXES

Eduard's PE set (# 35200)

Jordi Rubio makes the aluminum barrel (# 48) 37mm M6

Jaguar makes a resin set of wheels w/ chains (# 63833) M8 Wheels w/ Chains, and an engine set (# 63839) M8/M20 engine

Ordnance Models makes a deep wading set (# A-034) M8 Greyhound Deep Wading Kit, which looks pretty cool...different too...don't see many built with it.

Real Models has (# 35005) Complete Engine Snowchained Wheels & Details for M8/M20

Tank Workshop also has the wheels w/ chains (# 0087) M8 Greyhound Wheels w/ Chain

Verlinden Productions is another w/ wheelsw/ chains (# 1411) M8/M20 Wheels, and (# 1442) M8/M20 Engine & Compartment, and (# 1453) M8 Interior & Exterior Detail Set, and (# 1455) M8 Stowage Compartment, and (# 1464) M8 Stowage

Warriors makes a crew (# 35221) Greyhound Crew (2 Men)

I think that about covers all of it. I have a couple reviews of the Verlinden kits, let me know if you'd like em.
Now...which one or one's will you choose?

Hey Chief! Jordi Rubio's should work as well on the Monogram kit, but I think Monogram's is a 1/32nd scale kit...???

Thanks for all the info Ken. I would be interested in the reviews for the Verlinden kits. Also does anyone know anything about the Royal Models M-8 update set?

Gunnie, I cannot find Military Modeler mags here in OKC, could you PM me and I'll give you my address so you can send me one of those subscription forms that always fall out of magazines. Thanks! :-)

I built the M-8 pretty much out of the box. I only added the VLS wheels with chains. Very nice kit. The Perth Military Modeler site has some super pictures of the model which I used as an example worth of duplication. The decal sheet went on extremely well. There is a tricky national insignia for the engine cover that is well worth the effort to emplace. Enjoy building this baby.
