Basically, do you like to make your own zimmerit ?? Or do you find it easier to buy the aftermarket stuff ??

Personally, I like to make my own Zim, yes, it is VERY time consuming, but I feel it adds a personal touch when done.

What do you all think ??

I do a lot of 1/72 scale kits and I lean towards photo etched or resin zimmerit if I do a vehicle that requires zimmerit. Fortunately, Dragon has issued at least three kits with zimmerit molded onto the surface in this scale.

In 1/35 scale, I avoid vehicles with zimmerit.

Hopefully this works, just in case Sabot, go to my pictures and the elefant you see thier is the dragon 1/72 kit. I did all the zimmerit, it took 2 hours to do the sides, and a good portion of the rest of the day just to do the front and rear. !

Hope you like.

I used Cavalier Zimmerit on my 1/35 Dragon King Tiger, and thought it was great. Bought it from Alpenflage hobbies and got here quick too.
