Slava:

Some pretty neat pics. There is something about this tank that just scares the heck out of me, (it also scared the heck out of our military for quite a few years by the way). I'm not sure how our M46/M47 would have measured up against it. Thank goodness that never happened between us.

The pic looking up at the gun tube and front glacis plate is impressive. Quite a machine. Thanks for the pics, and Merry Christmas from the U.S.A.

Thanks TANKMASTER, I'm just about to start on Trumpeter's IS-3 so the pics will be usefull.

One question, does anyone have any references for the camo scheme on th IS-3 in the second series of pics? I want to try to avoid another "Green Tank", but have had no luck finding anything interesting in the way of alternatives. The sand yellow alternative offered in the kit doesn't realy appeal either - A decent desert camo pattern might tho, but so-far all searches for Middle-Eastern IS-3s haven't found anything........

Any info appreciated
Tim.

I checked in the concord book "tank battles of the middle east wars 1948-73" and it shows sand colored IS3s.

Thanks for looking penpen, that's about all I can find as well.
I'm just trying not to finish up with a cupboard full of green or sand colored tanks - I like to try to do something different with each one. I've found some decent schemes to do the Dragon IS-2 I've got, but they didn't seem to get too imaginative with the IS-3
