Hi, guys

Does anyone know if there is a manufacturer out there that makes an update set and a replacement barrel for the aging Italeri M-109 kit that was used in Vietnam.

The model is the one you may have seen in Verlinden's Showcase Vietnam special and the one pictured on Verlinden's box art for their Vietnam gun emplacement/camp.

Thanks,
Felix

Barrel Depot makes the short barrel 155mm used on the M109 (35014) and a longer M109A1/A2 barrel (35015).

There are two interior sets made by Warriors I belive. One is the upper hull with breach. The other is the lower fighting compartment with driver area. CMK also makes an engine set. There is another company that has an engine set that also has the transmission. Can't think of the name off hand.
Verlinden makes various update sets, but I think they are for the more modern vesions, made after the Vietnam war.

Hey Sonny. Long time no see. Welcome to Armorama.

As for updates, there's also Royal Models PE set (#024) for the A2. Most of it is suitable for the old M109.

I built an Italerie M-109 A1 (long barrel) I got the barrel depot version from either Lucky models or Hobbyeasy. (China) A heck of a lot cheaper for the barrel and shipping was half the price of Great MOdels or Roll. HIghtly recommended
