Gents, I was surfing on the Dragon site and I came across this new poster for the soon-to-be-realsed Sd Kfz 234/4 7.5cm Panzerspahwagen kit.

Dragon 1/35th (DML-6221) Sd kfz 234/4 Panzerspahwagen

News of this exciting new Dragon kit has already been covered by Jim Rae, but I wanted to help him out by posting this new infomation. You can view his original photo/news article HERE

Some test shots of the build up Dragon Sd Kfz 234/4 (built by Tom Cockle) kit were posted by Stuke Sowle previously, and these can be viewed here: Sd Kfz 234/4 kit

A more in depth in-box review will follow sometime in the near future here on Armorama, so be sure to keep your eyes open.

If you have any comments or questions please post them here.

Cheers !!

Best still is that they went away from vinyl tires that split or melted the hubs over time.

That said, there are others who ARE doing them - and making a big thing out of it....

I know what you mean, I have a BTR 70 that I looked at again after about a year and all of the tires have split and separated.

I wonder why Dragon had so much difficulty with them. It seems to me that Revell-Monogram, AMT/Ertl, Tamiya, et al have all cracked the code on making quality vinyl tires.

All I can say is that I'm eager to get my hands on one of these to build!

Can't you just picture that beauty in dioramas of the final days in Berlin.
This is the 1st Sd Kfz 234 from Dragon isn't it?
Will be fun to do a side by side with the old Italarie kit.

It looks like Cyber Hobby has a conversion kit out for the Panzerspahwagen...it includes side fenders for the early type.
Its $9.99 if you get it with them kit from them. A little pricier by itself:
