Here are a couple of shots of my PST 1SU-122S. You can see the psychodelic swirls of the plastic. The upper hull is just cut from the sprue. The lower hull has sink holes filled and the sides added to the lower hull. In the top shot, you can see a light colored road wheel axle on the far right. The kit part was short-shot. I had to file the area smooth, drill a hole and replace it with a piece of sprue sanded and cut to fit.

Robin
You should leave the kit unpainted Looks cool that plastic does :-) Be careful lining up the sprocket halves I did a KV=1 from PST The teeth didn't line up properly They looked like an "X" I also had to cut some teeth off of the sprockets because they would'nt fit into the holes on the tracks
The link and length tracks did line up great on my KV-1 Hopefully they'll do the same for you

Basic construction is completed on my psychodelic assault gun. I lost a tow hook to tweezer launch and had to replace it with one from an Italeri/Esci T-34 kit that I parted out. Also replaced the shovel from the ISU kit because it snapped.
The barrel is by Aber. The brass muzzle break is very nice.

Looks great! I've been building a lot of Russian armor lately although I have not done my studies on the history and variants. I'm just assembling kits.

I built the same kit many years ago. The plastic is definitley eye catching when you first open the box. I added a little detail work to mine, but nothing too extensive. Looking forward to seeing paint on this guy. Looks good thus far Sabot. "Q"

And after a base coat of dark green, "whatever shade was handy near by airbrush" green.

Looks like the kits were squirted from re-cycled styrene. Both of my PST kits were molded in an even dark gray plastic.

Nice a slick Rob...too bad it is braille scale... :-)
I know, I gotta lay off you guys. I am even thinking of building my 1/72 S-300. Maybe. I would start adding detail and then it becomes a major project. Yikes. At least I got the good replacement tires.
I can't wait to see this beast done up. I also really like the barrel...almost makes me want to build a 1/72 scale kit. (Ok, ok, I'll knock it off...)
