Hello all,
I was wondering what color/s to use inside the open hatches of WWII tanks: German, American and British. I've searched through all kinds of photos and it looks like a mix of colors for all, from white/buff to black. Any and all help is very welcomed.

They wre usually painted the tanks base colour to stop air recognition light colours were a nice target for fighter bombers.

The insides of hatches were almost always painted the primary exterior color.

All the t-34s I was had green colors inside the hatches (NOT all the interior). I guess they didn't want a big, bright spot showing when they travelled with them wide open. It kind of makes sense but it's only my theory.
