hi guy's,
I'm confused about the different type's of panzer III /IV track's.
What is the diference between the track's with and with-out chefrons(is that how you write it ).
I'm looking for track's for a stug III G and I see both type's of track's used on this vehicle.
can some one clear this up for me?

The tracks for the German medium tank series based on the Pz III and Pz IV came in three standard widths: 36cm, 38cm and 40cm. Fairly early in the production of these AFVs, the wider 40 cm tracks were adopted.
All the Sturgeschutzen III from the ausf C forward had the 40cm tracks.
They also developed in terms of track face, with some later variants have the chverons on the face to assist in traction in mud and ice.
There was no "official" designation of which type of vehicle had which type of track (much like the American Sherman tanks). Just consult photos to see what is possible.
