Francois -

Found some references/pictures in Concord Publications "Panzer-Division 1935-1945 (#3) - War on Two Fronts 1943-45" showing a 'Wirbelwind' (on a PzKpfw IV Ausf G chassis) in , France 1944. It is "painted in overall dark sand with a camouflage scheme of green patches applied over vehicle and turret." There are two others from "early October somewhere on the Western front...and have standard three color camouflage schemes consisting of green and brown patches on the dark sand base." Also Concord's "Panzers of the Ardennes Offensive 1944-45" shows a 'Wirbelwind' (on a PzKpfw IV Ausf H chassis) assigned to SS-Pz Rgt. 1 of 1.SS-Panzer-Division "in overall dark yellow with with a camouflage scheme of brown and green." Hope this helps some.

My pleasure and glad I could be of some help. I've found those Concord Publications books to be great sources for photos and therefore diorama ideas. Their color plates are very well done also. I've got the Tamiya 'Wirbelwind' in my stash and hope to get to it probably after the "MEOW Campaign. Which 'Wirbelwind' kit are you working on?

I've looked this up before. These were all produced between August 1944 and January 1945 and used on the Western Front. That means dark yellow base with various patterns of dark gren and red brown.

Not sure but I think the site you are thinking of is this one, the best site by far that I have been able to find for these schemes.
